Calls for Kenya, eeeeh! Kenya aaaaahhh! is coming back to LA as all roads and flights head to LA for the 2023 World Rugby Sevens Series. As always, Kenyans are ready to cheer Shujaa and be the life of the party in the stadium.
The Kenyan Consulate in LA plans to make the most of the event by engaging Kenyans and offering services.
Using the hashtag #twendeStadiLA, the consulate, led by Consulate General (CG) Ted Kwaka, famously known as Big Ted, will have a stand at the Rugby Village, where they will offer services.
“Visit the LA Consulate stand and get your papers sorted while you dunda,” the announcement on a promo video said.
In a pervious discussion with CG Big Ted, he expressed his desire to engage Kenyans wherever they are and promote the nation. The Rugby tournament presents a great opportunity to meet Kenyans at the funnest element.
Rugby Sevens kicks off on February 25 and ends on February 26 at the Dignity Health Sports Park, located on 18400, Avalon Blvd, Carson, CA, 90746.
Sixteen teams are lined-up to participate in the 2023 tournament.
The teams are grouped in 4 pools, A, B, C, and D. Kenya’s Shujaa is in Pool C, together with Australia, Fiji, and Japan.
