Entering Customs Zone in Kenya
- Speak only to uniformed Customs Officials.
Customs Duty on Goods
- Personal items used by passengers are exempt from customs duty.
- Used goods imported for commercial purposes are taxable.
Duty on Imported Used Goods
- Imported used goods are dutiable, but personal used items are exempt.
Taxation on Gifts and Donations
- Gifts and donations are taxable unless exempt under specific Acts or within the USD 500 threshold.
Declaration of Items for Temporary Export
- Declare items like cameras, tools, jewelry, sports equipment, and musical instruments if intending to bring them back.
Currency and Monetary Instruments Declaration
- Declare currency or instruments exceeding USD 10,000 at arrival and departure.
Drone Importation
